- Position : Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Oncology
- Specialty : Oncology Nursing
- Contract Length : 13 Weeks
- Schedule : Monday-Friday
- Shift : Day Shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
- Guaranteed Hours : 40 Hours per Week
- Holiday Coverage Required
- Facility: Level III Trauma Center
- Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
- Oncology nursing experience is required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Current BLS/CPR Certification (required within 30 days of employment).
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to oncology patients under the supervision of a Medical Oncologist.
- Assess patient conditions, develop care plans, and administer treatments and medications as prescribed.
- Monitor patient responses to treatment and document care accurately in the EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and ongoing care.
- Adhere to infection control standards and universal precautions while maintaining a safe patient care environment.
