You’ll lead process improvement initiatives, manage a team, and ensure high-quality, technology-enabled close process. This role is ideal for experienced leaders ready to support transformation of a critical finance function.**What You’ll Do:*** Oversee and lead the end-to-end general ledger (GL) function, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant monthly and quarterly close for the Price business unit.* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.* Oversee the calculation and continuous improvement of key metrics and reserves, including Utilization Rates and the Claim Adjustment Reserve, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with operational drivers.* Drive process optimization and standardization initiatives across the GL function, leveraging automation, AI and advanced analytics solutions and best practices to improve efficiency and scalability.* Partner with the Enterprise Workday team to drive process transformation in our general ledger system.* Manage the external audit, be the key contact to the external audit team.* Partner cross-functionally with Enterprise, FP&A, IT, and Operations to align accounting processes with broader business objectives and system capabilities.* Provide training, support, and development opportunities to team members to ensure high performance and engagement.* Establish and strengthen internal controls, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements while supporting audit readiness.**What You’ll Bring to Zelis:*** Bachelor's degree in accounting and at least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably with a background in public accounting.* CPA required.* A natural curiosity to problem-solving to understand the "why" behind outcomes.* Proven experience in accounting management, with a strong understanding of US GAAP, operational accounting, and internal controls.* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.* Advanced leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to both internal and external stakeholders.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail and a curious mindset.* Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.***Please note at this time we are unable to proceed with candidates who require visa sponsorship now or in the future.*****Location and Workplace Flexibility**We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India. In-office work and activities, if applicable, vary based on the work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.**Base Salary Range**$127,000.00 - $160,550.00At Zelis we are committed to providing fair and equitable compensation packages.
