Title
Registered Nurse - Perioperative Nursing

Schedule
8 hr shifts M-F; Rotate thru 0630-1500, 0900-1730 and 1100-1930; call and weekend opportunities available.

Assignment Details
Contract Weeks: 13
Guaranteed Hours: 36

Requirements
- Completion of an accredited registered nurse program required; BSN preferred.
- 2 years prior Operating Room experience required.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse.
- Meets American Heart Association standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years.
- Meets American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and renews ACLS every two years.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a comprehensive plan of care for patients undergoing surgical intervention.
- Ensure the creation and maintenance of a sterile field during procedures and adhere to aseptic principles.
- Recognize changes in patient status and implement appropriate interventions to ensure patient safety.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding surgical procedures and nursing functions.
- Document patient interactions and changes in plan of care accurately.
- Maintain professional competency by staying current with the latest practices and advancements in perioperative nursing.
