Phlebotomist Float

Job Title Phlebotomist Float (Richmond, VA) Schedule Monday - Friday, hours vary 6:00am - 6:00pm Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner Process billing information and collect payments when required Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary Assist with other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited training program, or at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist Preferred Qualifications At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or training program must be from an accredited agency if no prior work experience Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Flexibility to work overtime as needed Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with reliable transportation Must be at least 21 years of age Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO) Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD 401(k) and Employee Stock Purchase Plan Tuition Reimbursement Motor reimbursement and float incentive (additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement) Notification of pay range: $17.75 - $27.69 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Equal Opportunity Employer Statement Labcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
