Position Overview

• Conduct a range of ultrasound examinations including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort by clearly explaining procedures and establishing trust throughout the examination
• Work hand in hand with radiologists and referring physicians to supply exceptional diagnostic images
• Ensure operational excellence by maintaining and troubleshooting imaging equipment as necessary
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the electronic medical system
• Stay abreast of evolving techniques and advancements in ultrasound imaging

Education Requirements

• A degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field (Associate's or Bachelor's)
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
