AssemblerThis role focuses on assembling complete hydraulic and pneumatic valves and valve components by following detailed blueprints and assembly instructions. You will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, using hand and power tools to build high-quality products while maintaining safety, accuracy, and cleanliness at your workstation.ResponsibilitiesAssemble complete hydraulic and pneumatic valves and valve components according to blueprints and assembly instructions.Follow and complete the daily job list as directed by the supervisor.Swedge or roll crimp valve fitting ends to form a 37° angle in accordance with specifications.Perform seat preparations, including burnishing, coining, and cleaning, with minimal supervision and in line with applicable work instructions.Apply sealants and other chemicals as required for each job.Maintain accurate parts handling and part counts for each job to ensure inventory and production accuracy.Operate small hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.Keep all hand tools clean, in good working condition, and ready for use.Notify the supervisor promptly of any equipment that requires repair or maintenance.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation throughout the shift.Properly handle, store, and dispose of chemicals used in the assembly process in accordance with safety guidelines.Follow all safety standards and use required safety equipment at all times.Identify and use proper fixtures and tooling for each job based on work instructions and blueprints.Read and interpret assembly blueprints and schematics to complete work accurately.Perform rework and use equipment such as torque tools and drill presses as needed to meet quality standards.Essential SkillsExperience working in a production or assembly line environment, preferably within manufacturing.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics for mechanical assemblies.Proficiency using hand tools and power tools, including torque tools and drill presses.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.Ability to handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Comfort working with hydraulic and pneumatic components and related mechanical assemblies.Capability to perform tasks such as swedging or roll crimping to form a 37° angle on valve fitting ends.Ability to perform seat preparation tasks such as burnishing, coining, and cleaning with minimal supervision.Attention to detail to maintain accurate parts handling and part counts.Commitment to following safety procedures and using required safety equipment.Basic computer skills, including use of Windows and internet browsers.Familiarity with ERP or inventory systems for tracking parts and jobs.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in a manufacturing environment working with mechanical assemblies.Experience with rework processes and using fixtures and tooling for precision assembly.Comfort working in a busy, loud production area with multiple tasks happening simultaneously.Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist others to meet daily deadlines.Ability to train on a different shift initially and transition to the assigned shift after evaluation.Why Work Here?You will join a growing team-oriented environment where colleagues support one another to meet daily goals and production deadlines. You will work closely with a team of approximately 10–15 people in a collaborative setting where everyone helps each other to complete daily deadlines. The role involves frequent use of hand tools, power tools, torque tools, drill presses, and fixtures, as well as working with hydraulic and pneumatic components and chemicals under established safety standards. The standard schedule follows a 4/10 structure on a second shift from 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Training takes place on the first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until you receive a clear evaluation to move to the regular shift. The dress code includes steel-toed footwear, jeans, and a non-offensive top, supporting both safety and practicality in the production area.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valencia, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
