Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in a cardiac step-down unit. The role involves providing specialized care to patients with acute cardiac conditions and supporting a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer and titrate cardiac IV medications including nitroglycerine, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutrex, insulin drips, heparin, and Bumex/Lasix.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient status closely using telemetry and advanced cardiac equipment, including Zoll and Baxter pumps.
  
  
• 
  Respond promptly to bedside cardioversions and manage emergency cardiac situations.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care accurately within Cerner EMR system.
  
  
• 
  Support unit policies on patient safety, infection control, and protocol compliance.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid RN license with at least 2 years of recent step-down or progressive care experience.
  
  
• 
  Proven telemetry experience with competency in titratable cardiac IV medications.
  
  
• 
  BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrated ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  
  
• 
  Relief charge nurse experience is a preferred qualification.
  
  
• 
  Compassionate team player with excellent communication skills.
