Walton Arts Center Inc. operates two campuses: a 1,200-seat proscenium theatre and 269-seat black box in Fayetteville and an 11,000-capacity outdoor Amphitheatre known as the Walmart AMP in Rogers, AR. Position Overview

A Server's responsibility is attending to guests during the duration of the event; helping them place, receive, and pay for their orders. They also ensure the timely delivery of beverages by checking on their sections periodically throughout the service time.

Requirements:

Principal Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

1. Customer Service

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Take drink orders and provide recommendations based on customer preferences
• Deliver beverages promptly and accurately to appropriate sponsor box and guest

2. Menu Knowledge

• Familiarize yourself with the drink menu, including specialty cocktails, beer, wines, and non-alcoholic options
• Provide information about featured drink and promotions

3. Upselling

• Actively engage in upselling by suggesting additional items or promotions to enhance the guest experience

4. Communication

• Effectively communicate with bartenders and supervisory staff to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly or escalate to supervisor

5. Cleanliness and Organization

• Maintain a clean and organized serving station
• Clear any trash from sponsor boxes as needed

6. Teamwork

• Collaborate with other servers, bartenders, and support staff to ensure seamless service
• Assist Colleagues during peak hours or as needed

7. Responsible Service

• Adhere to responsible alcohol service practices and regulations per venue standards and ABC (Arkansas Beverage Control)
• Monitor guest intoxication levels and comply with regulations per venue standards and ABC (Arkansas Beverage Control)

8. Payment Processing / Inventory Management

• Process customer payments accurately and efficiently
• Accurately record any spoilage/waste
• Accurately record item sales and transaction variances

Minimum Qualifications

Education, Training, Traits

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience with the Appetize point of sale system a plus
• Comfortable with consistently adhering to the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality.
• Must be able to work under pressure and quickly execute orders while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Strong communications skills and the ability to interact with many different types of people
• An on-going desire to learn and improve
• Ability to work independently as well as with others
• Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully within ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards

Work Experience

• 1+ Year Service Industry

Physical

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly
• Must have a working cell phone and be willing to install basic applications and be willing to use it for work purposes
• Must be able to endure standing or walking for extended periods of time on various surfaces such as concrete, grass, and inclined surfaces.
• Must be able to endure outdoor elements including cold, heat, wind, and/or precipitation
• Must be able to work in large, crowded environments, with flashing lights, loud music and noises, pyrotechnics, and cannons as part of shows and events
