Construction Estimator

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join a growing General Contractor in Miami. This role will play a key part in preconstruction, responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project plans, and supporting the bidding process for commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and experienced in both ground-up and interior construction. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates and quantity takeoffs from plans, specifications, and drawings Analyze subcontractor and vendor bids to ensure competitive and accurate pricing Participate in preconstruction and bid strategy meetings Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers Review project scope, identify risks, and propose cost-saving alternatives Collaborate with Project Managers and field teams to ensure smooth project handoff Assist in preparing bid packages, proposals, and budgets Maintain historical cost data and improve estimating processes Support value engineering efforts and scope clarifications Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred 3+ years of estimating experience with a General Contractor Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods and materials Experience with ground-up and interior projects Proficiency in estimating software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar) and Excel Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Key Skills Cost Estimating & Takeoffs Bid Analysis & Budgeting Preconstruction Planning Attention to Detail & Accuracy Strong Communication & Negotiation Skills Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines #J-18808-Ljbffr
