What you will do

\n

Inspectors are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Simplex Fire Alarm Systems  as well as similar competitive manufacturers’ product lines. Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment. Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices such as laptop computers and/or hard copy. Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule. Input, retrieve and archive inspection documents via mobile device. Complete assigned inspections on time. Perform other duties as assigned.

How you will do it

\n

Some documented experience in low voltage electrical systems. We will train new hire. 
\n Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage. 

\n

Demonstrates an aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary small repairs.

What we look for

Required

\n

Documented experience in low voltage electrical systems and Fire and /or Security Systems experience required.

\n

Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements. 
\n High School Diploma or equivalent. 

\n

Successful completion of the Inspector Entrée Course (Electrical or Sprinkler). 

\n

Achieve NICET Level I certification after 1 year on the job 
\n Demonstrates an aptitude for troubleshooting systems. 
\n Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. 
\n Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs. 
\n Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc. 
\n Ability to work flexible hours including on occasion
\n Demonstrate a high level of customer service. 
\n Ability to work well with others. 
\n Self-starter that can work with supervision. 
\n Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly. 

\n

Preferred

\n

Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage. 
\n 1-3 years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems preferred. 

\n

NICET certification preferred

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $24.00-37.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
