The Project Manager II provides overall management of one or more specific engineering and/or construction projects to ensure that the client receives a facility designed, engineered, and constructed within the scope of the contracts to meet their needs on time and within budget. The Project Manager II is the liaison between Austin and the client and coordinates all aspects of the project including engineering, construction and purchasing as well as accounting and estimating. The Project Manager II also handles all contractual matters after the engineering and construction contract is signed. This includes processing of change orders, preparing and reviewing the monthly job condition statements and resolving disputes with clients regarding contractual issues. The incumbent must demonstrate a proven ability to manage medium-to-large-sized projects with projected gross revenues ranging from $50 million to over $150 million.

Requirements

  • Normally requires a 4-year degree in Engineering or Architecture and typically 10-15 years' experience in design or engineering and/or field construction (or equivalent working knowledge/experience).
  • Professional registration is preferred. Prior job assignments typically include project engineering or project architect responsibilities.

Travel Required

Must be able to travel to and work at the project site, this travel may be up to 100%. A valid driver's license is required for this position.
