Paul D. Camp Community College is a small 2-year college in Southeast Virginia. Campuses are located in Franklin and Suffolk. There also is a center in Smithfield. The college offers associate degrees, certificates, and career studies certificates in transfer and career/technical programs; credit and non-credit workforce services and training for businesses and industries; special interest classes for the community; and summer classes for youth through the Regional Workforce Development Center. A dual enrollment program for high school students, online courses, and developmental studies classes are available at the college as well.

The Program Specialist will provide administrative services include the following: prepare requisitions as required; order supplies and maintain inventory as required; create graphics for flyers, postcards, and other program media; work with the Institutional Advancement Department to ensure that College standard is met; design and develop program newsletter; maintain the "Community Resources Toolkit"; greet and direct students in the target population to success coaches; communicate with the student population via email, phone calls, and mailings; provide direct support to success coaches as needed; create and maintain the program's webpage; operate effectively between two campuses, taking into consideration unique campus cultures. Provide other duties including the following: coordinate and administer program activities; manage communications, documents, and files; keep a record of expenditures to ensure that an accurate budget is maintained; record and file meeting minutes; maintain a calendar of events; prepare reports; collect and compile program data for grant reporting; review files and other documents to gain information for accurate responses to data requests.

Related work experience in an office setting utilizing time management and customer service skills; proven use of organization skills and being detailed-oriented; display excellent leadership skills and problem-solving skills; knowledge of administrative practices, office procedures, and use of general office equipment; proficient working knowledge of internet applications and PC-based software such as word processing, spreadsheet, and email (Microsoft Office preferred); demonstrated active listening to respond appropriately to internal and external customer concerns; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing with a diverse population of faculty, staff, students, and other college stakeholders; willingness to work at the Franklin and Suffolk campuses; must possess a valid driver's license.
