We’re looking for a motivated, community-driven independent Insurance Agent to join our team. This position is perfect for someone passionate about making a difference locally, while helping clients secure the right coverage for their needs. As an Insurance Agent, you'll not only help people protect what matters but also be a key player in community outreach and engagement. Compensation:$66,000 at plan commission
Responsibilities:- Actively prospect for new clients through networking, referrals, and community engagement
- Manage day-to-day operations, including marketing, sales, and customer service
- Build and manage a diverse client base by providing personalized insurance solutions
- Guide clients in selecting appropriate coverage that best meets their needs
- Stay updated on industry trends and compliance requirements
- A background or familiarity with farming or agriculture is a plus
- Passion for social impact and community engagement
- Proven track record of being a self-starter
- 5+ years of experience in sales, customer service, or business development; insurance experience is an advantage
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Insurance and sales experience a plus
On May 1, 1947, a group of Idaho farmers and ranchers founded an insurance company. This company was grounded in the belief that neighbors should help neighbors. Because of this, we have built a customer-centered culture that has helped us develop stronger through decades of change.
In our humble beginnings, we offered only auto insurance from our Pocatello office. Subsequent generations of employees and agents, guided by the founders’ beliefs, built the company into what it is today: the largest writer of farm and ranch insurance in Idaho and the largest insurance company wholly based in Idaho.
In 2024, Western Community Insurance—Farm Bureau Mutual started offering insurance products in the state of Washington.
