Full Stack Software Engineer

We're partnering with an exceptionally well-funded AI startup that's transforming how an entire industry operates. Rather than building generic AI tools they're creating autonomous AI workers capable of completing complex insurance workflows from start to finish. Having secured significant VC backing and already serving customers from enterprise organisations through to independent agencies they're now looking to hire several Software Engineers to help shape the next stage of the platform. What you'll be doing Building autonomous AI agents that automate complex insurance workflows Designing and shipping full-stack product features from idea through to production Working across React, Go, TypeScript and modern AI technologies Building scalable backend services, APIs and infrastructure Improving AI infrastructure, asynchronous processing, observability and platform performance Working directly with customers to understand problems and deliver solutions Collaborating closely with founders, engineering and go-to-market teams to influence product direction What they're looking for 2+ years of software engineering experience Strong full‑stack engineering background across frontend and backend development Experience building production software in an early‑stage startup or high‑growth environment Comfortable taking ownership of features from design through deployment Experience working with AI product APIs, agents or LLM workflows Strong understanding of scalable backend systems, infrastructure or distributed systems A clear record of technical excellence through startup impact, outstanding engineering work, open source contributions or founder experience Experience with Go, React or TypeScript Platform engineering, infrastructure or observability experience Experience building AI‑native products Strong personal projects or active GitHub profile FinTech, InsurTech or B2B SaaS experience You'll be a great fit if you… Thrive in fast‑moving startup environments Want meaningful ownership rather than a small piece of a large organisation Like working directly with customers to shape products Want to build AI that solves real business problems instead of experimental demos What's on offer Salary between $150,000 and $220,000 Competitive equity package Build products used daily by thousands of professionals Direct access to founders and significant influence over product direction Join one of the fastest‑growing AI companies in its sector Location This role is 5 days per week on‑site in either: New York City Candidates must already be based in the Bay Area or New York and be able to work from the office full time. #J-18808-Ljbffr Oxbow Talent
