Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a busy Medical/Surgical and Telemetry unit with a census of up to 49 patients
• Care for specialty patient populations including spinal cord injury patients with stage 4 wounds requiring surgical intervention
• Perform wound care, occasional bowel program management, and light burn care for low-acuity burn patients
• Monitor patients using telemetry equipment and document care accurately in the EMR system (Meditech)
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including charge nurses and patient care technicians across day shift

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Colorado or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital Medical/Surgical experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to maintain a 4:1 patient ratio on day shift
• Proficiency or ability to quickly adapt to Meditech EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with spinal cord injury (SCI) patients
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Background in surgical flap patient care or burn unit support
