Lead Accounts Receivable Representative

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Lead Accounts Receivable Representative to manage a portfolio of 200-400 customer accounts totaling $20M+, resolving billing issues and driving cash collection. The role requires on-site work in Pittsburgh and involves cross-departmental collaboration to prevent payment delays and delinquency.

Responsibilities

• Manage 200-400 customer accounts, serving as primary contact for invoice and payment issue resolution
• Communicate with customers and internal teams to identify and solve billing problems and delinquency risks
• Monitor customer behavior for signs of increased default risk and escalate delinquency issues
• Develop action plans using process improvement techniques and drive accountability for completion
• Mentor team members and support onboarding of new staff; travel up to 20% as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED minimum; bachelor's degree in business preferred
• 5+ years collections, business, or finance experience with B2B background
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Oracle, and Cognos
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for phone and email
• Analytical skills to reconcile customer trade accounts and identify billing discrepancies
• Strong integrity, team orientation, and ability to work with minimal supervision
