Medical AssistantSouthlake Headquarters - Southlake, TX 76092Job DescriptionJob Summary:The Spine Team Texas Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting physicians and medical staff in the Clinic. It is imperative for this position to assist in ensuring appropriate and timely patient flow. This position is also required to schedule procedures for patients to ensure that the clinic flow is smooth. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Spine Team Texas. Also responsible for the maintenance and supplies of clinic rooms, pods, and medicines. Outstanding customer service via phone and in person is imperative for this position. It is the responsibility of this position to provide patient care in the form of vital signs, explanation of prescriptions and general visit, and escorting the patient to appropriate areas of the clinic. It is the responsibility of this position to provide accurate, and appropriate information to authorized individuals in a timely and efficient manner. Other duties and responsibilities may be required by the Spine Team Texas Director of Compliance, or a member of the Medical Staff.Customer ServiceAll Spine Team Texas employees are required to maintain the highest level of customer service at all times. Employees must always speak in a kind, courteous and professional manner when dealing with a patient/customer or co-worker. This position works in a well-lit, air conditioned clinical environment. Must have ability to assist in lifting patients if needed. Must be able to work under pressure. Tasks may involve exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials.QualificationsEducational Requirements & Position Qualifications:High School graduate or equivalent.Medical Assistant Certification or Nursing license preferred; or equivalent experience.Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent time managementExcellent organizational ability.Possess the ability to plan and execute work projects.Possess the ability to work productively, either independently or with other individuals.Proficient in communicating in the English language both written and verbally.
