Resource & Referral Specialist (TEACCH Greensboro)

Position Title Human Services Practitioner - Journey Location Greensboro, NC, USA Position Summary THIS POSITION IS LOCATED AT THE TEACCH CENTER IN GREENSBORO, NC. The primary purpose of this position is to assist autistic individuals with autism spectrum disorder and their families in navigating community resources to meet their complex needs. These needs may include the areas of physical health, education, socialization, family life, recreation and nutrition. The position will also assist families through the TEACCH referral process, offer support and information about TEACCH services and additional community resources. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Associate’s degree in a related Human Services discipline and two years of experience related to the area of assignment, or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Management Preferences Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals – TEACCH clients, families, clinicians, staff, and TEACCH clinic & administrative leadership. Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Excellent organizational and time management skills and detail orientation. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
