DIETARY MANAGER

Dermott City Nursing Home in Dermott, AR is seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietary Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of the dietary services. The ideal candidate will ensure that meals are nutritious, well-balanced, and meet the dietary needs of residents while complying with all health and safety regulations. This role involves managing kitchen staff, planning menus, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment. Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct dietary services including meal planning, preparation, and service.
• Manage and supervise dietary staff ensuring adherence to standards and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to food safety and sanitation.
• Develop and update menus that meet residents’ special dietary needs and preferences.
• Order food and supplies and manage inventory to control costs effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of dietary operations and menu planning.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to accommodate patients’ medical and therapeutic dietary requirements.
• Train dietary staff in proper food handling techniques and safety protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Dietary Manager or similar role in a healthcare or residential facility.
• Knowledge of nutrition, food preparation, and dietetic requirements.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to comply with dietary regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certification as a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in nutrition or food service management a plus.
