Step into a rewarding contract opportunity where your expertise as a school-based Occupational Therapist can make a real difference in students' lives. Three onsite positions are available, each offering unique experiences across elementary, middle, and high school settings near New Castle, DE. These roles start on August 25, 2026, and run through June 8, 2027, providing meaningful engagement throughout the academic year.
Choose from the following caseloads:
- Work across Lancashire and Maple Lane Elementary Schools (split position)
- Serve students exclusively at Mount Pleasant Elementary
- Support middle and high schoolers in a split role across both sites
Enjoy a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, working 37.5 hours a week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Delaware Occupational Therapist license
- Recent résumé highlighting relevant school-based OT experience
- Commitment to pay for $85 CBC fingerprinting (required prior to placement)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for supporting students’ educational growth
- Ability to adapt to evolving caseload needs across structured age groups
- Please note: COTAs are not eligible due to supervision restrictions
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services that address IEP goals and student-specific needs
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to promote student success
- Conduct assessments, draft progress reports, and maintain compliance with educational guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to holistic care planning
- Guide students in developing daily living, sensory, and fine motor skills crucial for academic achievement
