Insurance Sales Agent

We want to add a motivated and personable new employee to our insurance agent team who is seeking a new learning opportunity with lots of room for growth. The ideal candidate for our entry-level insurance agent position has the solid communication skills it takes to drive insurance sales among potential clients and new clients. Bring a friendly attitude and a passion for customer service, and we’ll invest our resources into training you to be a successful insurance sales representative!Compensation:$120,000+ at plan earningsResponsibilities:Tailor risk management strategies and client profiles to reflect each customer’s individual needsKeep an accurate log of sales databases, client reports, bookkeeping records, and more to share progress toward goals with key stakeholdersSpend time listening to existing, new, and prospective clients to evaluate their needs and stage-of-life priorities before presenting insurance plan options for their specific circumstancesStay abreast of any changes to rules or policies within the insurance agency to effectively amend insurance programs for existing and prospective clientsMaintain a portfolio of existing customers and pursue insurance sales with new clients by using sales strategies that may include cold calling and networkingEmploy a research-based approach to providing financial advice and strategies based on educational meetings and/or seminars centered on client risk tolerance and financial goalsCollect and organize each client’s financial information using a CRM to determine financial status, financial goals, cash flow, and financial expectationsAssess each client’s potential life and financial needs to create an individualized financial plan that leverages the products and services we offerImplement social media and other marketing tools to identify, seek, and generate prospects with whom you can foster strong, long-term relationships as a reliable financial service professionalProvide financial recommendations to clients for savings plans, life insurance policies, mutual fund investments, and other financial productsQualifications:Working knowledge of accounting and sales lead software is a plusCandidates must have or be willing to get an insurance licenseWillingness to learn about the insurance industry, insurance programs, and state and federal regulations that may impact policyholdersCandidates must have some computer experience, including the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office programsStrong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills required; customer service experience is a plusAssess each client’s potential life and financial needs to create an individualized financial plan that leverages the products and services we offerImplement social media and other marketing tools to identify, seek, and generate prospects with whom you can foster strong, long-term relationships as a reliable financial service professionalProvide financial recommendations to clients for savings plans, life insurance policies, mutual fund investments, and other financial productsAbout CompanyAbout New York LifeNew York Life is a Fortune 100 company with a long history of doing good.
