About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Independence, Missouri, 64050!

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit with patient ratios of 4-5:1
• Care for post-cath patients (no sheath removal), pacemaker placement patients, and stroke patients
• Administer and monitor cardiac drips including amiodarone and Cardizem
• Utilize facility EMR (Meditech), Pyxis, Alaris pumps, and Welch Allyn vitals machines
• Float to other telemetry departments, med-surg, or PCU as needed
• Participate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with expected weekend rotation (3 shifts per 4-week schedule)

• Active RN license valid for practice in Missouri
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry or cardiac nursing experience
• Experience with post-cath recovery (no sheath removal), pacemaker placements, stroke patients, and cardiac drip management

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification or experience
• Prior travel nursing experience in a cardiac or telemetry setting
