Manufacturing Assembly Technician

Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking an Assembly Technician Level
I to join their team. As an Assembly Technician, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting the production team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, be a team player, and have a passion for quality workmanship which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Manufacturing Assembly Technician I

Location: Peachtree Corners, GA

Shift: 1st shift 7:00am - 3:30pm (Mon - Fri) ; 2nd shift 3pm - 11:45pm


Pay Range: $22.00 - $24.20/hr


What's the Job?

• Assemble a variety of products according to standard work instructions and prints
• Operate and set up (as needed), production equipment/fixtures
• Become proficient at multiple assembly tasks while meeting requirements for workmanship, safety and productivity
• Perform preparation work such as line clearance and changeover
• Perform inspection of own and other's work. Perform simple repairs on own or other's work.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent required, associate degree preferred
• 3-5 years previous mechanical assembly experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write and understand English. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees, supervisors, or engineers.
• Ability to add and subtract multi-digit numbers (including decimals); to multiply and divide; to find averages, percentages and ranges. Ability to determine the minimum, maximum and nominal value when provided with a specification and a tolerance. Ability to perform basic math on a calculator.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to report quality issues. Ability to suggest simple process improvements.
