Position Summary
Columbus Community Hospital is seeking two full-time Phlebotomists to join our Laboratory team. This position is responsible for obtaining blood specimens from patients of all ages, processing samples, and supporting laboratory operations through excellent customer service, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment while providing compassionate care and maintaining accuracy in all aspects of specimen collection and processing.

Position Summary
Columbus Community Hospital is seeking two full-time Phlebotomists to join our Laboratory team. This position is responsible for obtaining blood specimens from patients of all ages, processing samples, and supporting laboratory operations through excellent customer service, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment while providing compassionate care and maintaining accuracy in all aspects of specimen collection and processing.
Schedule
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Rotating schedule of evening and overnight shifts as needed
- Every third weekend rotation
- Two overnight holiday shifts per year
- Perform blood collection procedures on patients of all ages using age-appropriate techniques
- Process and prepare specimens for testing
- Enter and retrieve patient and test information using laboratory computer systems
- Answer laboratory phones and take physician/provider orders
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to specimen collection and processing
- Operate point-of-care testing devices
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to laboratory policies and procedures
- Assist with additional duties as assigned
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Medical knowledge or healthcare experience
- Phlebotomy training will be provided for qualified candidates
