Overview Job Description Summary: The Staff Technologist provides patient services using imaging modalities, performs diagnostic procedures. Responsibilities Provides patient services using imaging modalities, performs diagnostic procedures. Applies principles of radiation protection and the ALARA principle. Exerts professional judgment in the performance of procedures and provides patient care essential to imaging procedures. Recognizes patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiates life support measures. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and Medical Staff. Performs imaging services on call as needed. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required (SCRQSA). Advanced ARRT preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA) required. Note: This is a PRN as-needed position. You must be available to work at least 12 hours bi-weekly, as needed according to departmental demands. You may be required to work additional hours if requested by your supervisor to accomplish work objectives. Work hours may vary (increase or decrease) depending on the needs of the unit.
