About This Role The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population, focusing on expanding knowledge and skills while providing effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team. This role is ideal for those who are dedicated to improving patient outcomes and coordinating care among nursing peers and support services. Highlights Location: Hackensack, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Schedule: Per Diem, Day shift What You'll Do Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Perform age and disease specific assessments independently. Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status. Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease. Develop a plan of care with strategies and interventions to attain expected outcomes. Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care. Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology. Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes. Adhere to American Nurses Association Code for Nurses. Requirements Education Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire Experience Six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience OR participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program Licenses & Certifications Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible About Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack Meridian Health is a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
