Pay Grade: 15 Salary: $3,960.94 - $5,941.50 Monthly Employment Type: EXECUTIVE BRANCH | FULL TIME | ELIGIBLE FOR OVERTIME PAY | 18A | 37.5 HR/WK Hiring Agency: General Government Cabinet | Attorney General Location: 150 Halrogers Drive London, KY 40744 USA Description The Department of Criminal investigations (DCI) investigates a diversity of criminal allegations, whichinclude but are not limited to, sex and labor trafficking; Investigations of allegations of criminalmisconduct by state and local public officials, as well as, the misuse of theft of public funds.Investigations may include arenas of corruption including executive, judicial, legislative, vendor contract,regulatory, election fraud and systemic law enforcement corruption. As an Investigator II, you will carry aspecial position of trust and will be expected to conduct yourselves and work in accordance with standards set forth in the Office of Attorney General policies and guidelines, andto operate within the applicable statutes and regulations. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Conduct investigations of highly complex time-consuming and sensitive criminal and non- criminal investigations Interview suspects and witnesses Secure and serve warrants and summonses Conduct surveillance and make arrests Testify in court proceedings Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Possess and maintain a Peace Officer Professional Standards (POPS) law enforcement officer certification through the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council Required to carry and/or use a firearm Excellent communication skills Ability to produce quality written reports Ability to assimilate large volumes of information in order to successfully investigate complicated and multifaceted white-collar cases Minimum Requirements EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree. EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have four years experience in the field of investigative law enforcement or a related field of investigation. Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Experience as a sworn law enforcement officer will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.) Must be 21 years of age. Must possess a valid driver's license prior to employment in this job classification. Employees in this classification are subject to the provisions of KRS Chapter 15 and 503 KAR 1:140 relating to peace officer certification as administered by the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council.
