Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – West Virginia

Schedule: 36 hours weekly, night shift 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM with weekend rotations; 3:1 patient ratio across all shifts

Highlights:

• Emergency Department with 7 beds serving a daily census of approximately 27 patients across all age groups (infants through geriatrics)
• Electronic charting using CERNER EMR system
• 48 hours of paid orientation to support your successful transition
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
• No on-call requirement; block scheduling for work-life balance
• Up to two instances of pre-approved time off available during assignment

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Active West Virginia or Compact RN License (pending license accepted for submission)
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• TNCC certification preferred
• Additional certifications: NIHSS and NRP
• Expertise in rapid assessment, triage, trauma management, and advanced life support interventions
• Proficiency in IV access and emergency interventions across various medical conditions
• Minimum 2 professional references from managers or charge nurses within the past 2 years required
• Permanent address must be 100+ miles from the facility location
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required

All submissions must include: complete work history, specialty-specific skills checklist, minimum 2 manager/charge nurse references from the past 2 years, RN license verification (pulled within 2 days of submission), and copies of all required certifications. Non-billable modules (averaging 2-6 hours completion time) must be completed prior to start date.
