Associate Director, Business Insights Lead

Associate Director role reporting to the Director of Strategy, Analytics & Business Insights, serving as primary analytical partner to Oncology/SMAO clinical leadership. Translates complex business questions into data-driven analyses informing senior executive decisions on study design, site strategy, and risk management, with secondary support for Neuroscience programs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary analytical advisor to Oncology/SMAO Sr. Directors and clinical study leadership on portfolio decisions
- Lead end-to-end insight delivery from hypothesis generation through analysis, recommendations, and executive communication
- Own and evolve key analytical products including site allocation models, performance benchmarking, and enrollment scenario planning
- Identify and escalate structural gaps and unaddressed risks within assigned portfolios with independent analytical perspective
- Provide mentorship to junior analysts and rotational team members on assigned projects while ensuring analytical quality
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's in Finance, Analytics, Business, or related quantitative field preferred
- 10+ years business analytics, strategy, or client-facing analytical role in pharma/biotech/healthcare (5+ years with advanced degree)
- Demonstrated experience managing senior stakeholder relationships at Director/Sr. Director level or above
- Strong analytical and strategic decision-support skills with ability to translate ambiguous business questions
- Proficiency in data analytics/visualization tools such as SQL, Power BI, Excel
- Proven ability managing multiple concurrent workstreams independently across therapeutic areas
- Familiarity with clinical trial operations, drug development, or R&D processes
