Associate Veterinarian

Introduction
A full-service veterinary hospital in Carrollton, Georgia is seeking a full or part-time Associate Veterinarian to join its experienced team. The hospital provides comprehensive care within a General Practice and Urgent Care environment, primarily serving companion animals with opportunities for exposure to exotics and mixed animal cases depending on the veterinarian's clinical interests. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian, with a minimum of one year of veterinary practice experience required. The position also offers a three-day working week, providing four days away from the hospital each week.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, including wellness and preventive care, diagnostic investigation, treatment planning, dentistry, surgery and ongoing medical management, alongside exposure to Urgent and Emergency cases. The successful veterinarian will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, conducting comprehensive medical work-ups, communicating diagnostic findings and treatment recommendations effectively, and maintaining accurate medical records. Veterinarians are encouraged to fully investigate and manage their own cases while working collaboratively with the wider clinical team. The position follows a 3×12 schedule, providing a consistent working pattern alongside four days away from the hospital each week.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of GP services alongside Urgent and Emergency Care, with opportunities to develop further experience in advanced medicine, surgery, exotics and mixed animal practice according to individual clinical interests. Equipment and clinical capabilities available include, but are not limited to, Digital Radiography, Dental Radiography, Ultrasound and a full In-House IDEXX Laboratory, with Cornerstone used for practice management. Fear Free principles are incorporated into patient care, and USDA-accredited veterinarians are available within the team for health certificates and international travel documentation. The hospital is open for veterinary appointments Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and closed on the weekends.

Team
The hospital has an established and long-tenured team of 4 experienced veterinarians, veterinary technicians and support professionals. The collaborative clinical structure provides experienced veterinarians with access to additional support and case discussion while maintaining autonomy over their own caseload. The hospital operates as part of a two-location veterinary practice, providing additional clinical resources and support across the wider team.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
