Position Overview- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: Through 09/30/2026 (initial coverage: 7/13/2026 6:00 AM - 7/28/2026 6:00 AM; potential for ongoing dates)
- Schedule: Scheduled clinical hours + call
- Call Type: Beeper
- Call Response Time: 15 minutes
- Call Ratio: 1:1
- Patient Volume: Approximately 10 patients per shift
- Facility Beds: 21
- EMR: Cerner
- Patient Assignment: Assigned/Unassigned rounding patients
- Admissions Required: Yes
- Trauma Level: II
- Neonatology fellowship required
- Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
- PALS and NRP certifications required
- Experience managing complex neonatal conditions, including:
- Respiratory distress syndrome
- Intrauterine growth restriction
- Jaundice
- Sepsis
- Intubation, chest tube placement, central lines
- Paracentesis, spinal taps, exchange transfusions
- Thermal cooling, ventilator management (including oscillators and iNO)
- Comfortable providing guidance and emotional support to families of critically ill newborns
- Active Michigan medical license required
- A+ rated malpractice
