Join us!Work Location: Coral Gables, FLWork Hours: Full-Time, Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:30PMThe Diagnostic Sonographer is responsible for the independent operation of sonography equipment to create necessary images and obtain measurements. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and scanning technique. Communicates with the patient and relays any pertinent information to the radiologist and documents on tracking sheet/chart. Communicates with the radiologist and understands and performs any necessary additional exams.Department/Center Highlights:Newly expanded services, just launched non-breast imaging at the centerCollaborative, patient-first team cultureSupportive leadership invested in staff growth and developmentReceived Center of Excellence the last 2 years in a row!Here is what you will need:Education: Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program that is accredited by the Commission Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program.Certificates: Active certification with ARDMS. Current compliance with CME requirements.Language Skills: Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health.Ability to read and write and comprehend medical terminology. Ability to effectively communicate information on a one-on-one and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees.Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes involved written or oral instructions.
