Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for an Account Manager in our Lakeland, FL Insulation Division . The territory for this position is Alabama, North Florida and West Georgia.Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. As the successful candidate, you will be expected to develop and maintain business relationships with manufacturing and fabrication clients in the aforementioned territory through prospecting, planning and effective communication. Timely follow up and problem resolution for the company and its customers is required.   Position requires effective time management and travel when necessary.  This is a remote opportunity, working from a home office. Therefore, the selected candidate must reside in the aforementioned geographical sales territory.

Your additional responsibilities, as an Account Manager, will include: 

• Thorough Knowledge and understanding of Carpenter’s products and capabilities.
• Servicing existing accounts and prospect and close new business accounts through organization and efficient planning.
• Work with plant personnel, technical center and management to develop solutions to customer issues.
• Prepare weekly call reports and weekly sales reports.
• Prepare monthly and annual territory analysis to be submitted to the Sales Manager in order to strategize and discuss business goals.

Skills/ Requirements

• 3+ years of sales/marketing and/or technical experience in building trades and/or insulation industry

• Knowledge in sales force CRM and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)

• Strong critical thinking, communication and negotiation skills

• Ability to travel overnight required
