Director of Rehabilitation Services – Huron Regional Medical Center Location: Huron, South Dakota (On‑site) Job Type: Full Time Pay: Competitive Salary Benefits: Health, dental, vision, life, 401(k), sick leave and paid time off. Position Purpose The Director oversees all aspects of the Rehabilitation Services and Specialty Clinic, including staff hiring, training, budgeting, revenue cycle management, and program development. The role ensures regulatory compliance, quality patient care, and effective integration with hospital operations. Key Responsibilities Supervise, instruct, and evaluate professional and support staff, laboratory personnel, and student workers. Develop, implement, and monitor patient care programs and performance improvement initiatives. Maintain adequate space, equipment, and qualified personnel to provide high‑quality patient care. Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, licensing/accreditation requirements, and infection control policies. Collaborate with medical staff, administration, and other departments to integrate services and support hospital goals. Manage daily revenue and budget, extend service offerings, and anticipate operational problems. Lead and support quality and safety teams; uphold the hospital’s core values of respect, engagement, availability, competence, and helpfulness. Provide training, orientation, and mentorship to new staff members and students. Additional Job Duties Participate actively in quality, performance improvement, patient experience, and employee engagement initiatives. Maintain professional appearance and a safe work environment. Follow all safety and security rules and procedures. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 5–7 years of healthcare leadership or management experience, preferably in rehabilitation services or a hospital setting. Experience in rural healthcare or Critical Access Hospital environments is preferred. Prior direct clinical practice in PT, OT, or SLP is beneficial but not required. Previous experience leading teams is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of CMS/OIG and industry compliance standards.
