Nurse Practitioner- Addiction Medicine

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide medical care for individuals in a substance use disorder treatment program. This role includes patient assessments, detox admissions, medication management, treatment planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient evaluations and admission assessments.
• Diagnose and treat patients in detox and recovery programs.
• Initiate and monitor medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with medical, behavioral health, and discharge teams.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

• Active NYS Nurse Practitioner license.
• DEA registration and OPRA certification.
• Buprenorphine prescribing eligibility required.
• 3+ years of clinical experience.
• Current BLS certification.

Preferred:

• Experience in addiction medicine, detox, or behavioral health.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
