The client is rolling off consultants only because they are not able to spend 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on Fridays and Mondays.

Payment Terms will strictly base on Net 30 Payment Terms.

There will be no exception for a special arrangement for off-site or ad hoc calendar [such as late login on Mondays and early Friday check out].

Otherwise, we shall continue looking for other technical development specialists regardless.

General Scope of Work

This position will serve to reinforce the ERP project's capacity in respect of the ongoing design, build, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of the UN’s SAP-based ERP system, specifically SAP Cloud applications and solutions utilizing industry best practices.

Reporting to Umoja ERP staff, the SAP Analytics Cloud specialist will provide architecture and design assessment for the implementation by the UN’s ERP of SAP Analytics Cloud (henceforth, SAC).

The position is NOT for a BI/Data operations specialist but for a technical SAP BI specialist with experience in Cloud integration with On-Premise for Analytics and Visualization solutions with a focus on Finance, HCM and the suite of Supply Chain Management techno-functional areas.

The scope of functional duties detailed hereunder includes implementation of architectural design, set up optimization and technical integration of the ERP’s on-premise implementation with SAC tenant for live reporting, specifically ECC, SAP HANA, BW, BPC and SRM systems.

Three Main Task Areas

1. Architecture and Technical Integration of SAP Cloud products/service platforms with SAP On-premise Landscapes and Applications, specifically:

a) Support the initial Set up, prototyping, installation, configuration and enhancements process to implement SAC in the ERP’s SAP On-Premise implementation

b) Recommend best practices to enhance:

• the configuration of SAP Analytic Cloud, considering the overall architecture of the ERP On-premise in order to achieve optimal integration for high performance and stability.
• Ongoing enhancement review of the design and implementation of the SAC implementation in respect of application security frameworks.

c) Develop and document technical and system-related features and decisions of the SAC Cloud Analytics implementation

d) Develop and document standard operating procedures and guidelines in respect of administration, technical configuration, auditing, life-cycle management and monitoring operations of the SAC Analytics Cloud technical and system-related key decisions.

2. Technical design of Data Modelling for SAC Analytics

• Support the ongoing Business requirements formulation process for BI/Analytics operations from a Solution Architecture perspective, designing and documenting the related configurations for the SAP Analytics Cloud solution per blueprint.
• Leverage experience both with SAP HANA modeling and with SAC Analytics (including advanced analytics) in order to advise on new solutions and enhance already deployed solutions for BI and SAC.
• Help customers harmonize master data and build data models in HANA and SAC
• Desirable knowledge and experience working with Datasphere.

3. Visualization and reporting using SAC and other visualization tools:

• Lead the build and improvement of solutions for visualization stories of key business process areas and/or KPI’s, particularly in respect the above-mentioned workstreams.
• Lead the Design and build of Digital Boardroom projects with the required reporting capabilities and associated dashboards.
• Recommend best practices and provide expertise using Advanced Visualizations, Augmented Analytics and SAC features such as Smart Insight, Search to Insights, Smart Discovery, Smart Predictive and Natural language Processing.
• Lead the build analytical apps using R Visualization and custom widgets.
• Desirable knowledge and experience working with Datasphere.

Qualifications and Experience

• Over 12+ years of experience on SAP technical BI implementation including SAC Analytics work, specifically:
• 12 years of hands-on experience with related SAP BI and Analytics tools including BW, BODS, HANA, BOBJ and SLT.
• At least five full life cycle implementation of SAP Analytics Cloud solution including end-to-end implementation of Predictive Analytics and Digital Boardroom as well as expertise on Project Smart Insight, Search to Insights, Smart Discovery, Smart Predictive and Natural language Processing.
• Implementation of solutions using Data Visualization with R, custom widgets and Machine learning algorithms.
• Strong techno-functional knowledge on key SAP modules including for Finance, Supply Chain, HCM and BPC is required
• Desirable knowledge and experience working with Datasphere.
