Sourcing & Transformation Project Lead

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Sourcing & Transformation Project Lead to oversee complex, cross-functional supply-chain and product development initiatives. The role requires orchestrating procurement, engineering, operations, and supplier partners to deliver cost-competitive solutions while ensuring quality and on-time execution across strategic sourcing projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams across procurement, engineering, operations, quality, supply chain and finance to achieve project alignment and execution
• Own end-to-end sourcing and supply-chain workstreams including scope, milestones, resources, risks and benefit realization
• Develop project-specific sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives, considering supplier capability, cost, quality and resilience
• Drive supplier transitions, product qualification and ramp-up from feasibility through delivery and value realization
• Manage project governance including milestone reviews, KPI tracking, risk management and executive reporting

Requirements

• University degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent education and experience
• 7+ years experience in complex high-tech or industrial environments leading cross-functional projects
• Demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedule, quality, cost, risk and benefit targets
• Strong commercial acumen and business understanding of sourcing and supply-chain strategy
• Experience in procurement, supply chain, engineering, or project management
• Project Management certification preferred
• Ability to influence and drive decisions across organizational boundaries without direct authority
