Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg (Travel) in Pocatello, Idaho, United States. Start date 09/28/2026 for several weeks. Weekly pay range $1,625–$1,702. Shift: 3x12-hour Nights. Setting: inpatient med-surg/telemetry on a 48-bed unit. Employment type: Travel - Temporary Assignment.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for adults and geriatrics on a med-surg/telemetry care continuum
- Monitor and manage patients with sepsis, respiratory failure, COPD, AKI, post-op needs, trauma, cardiac conditions, diabetes, GI issues; handle isolation cases and CIWA/substance withdrawal as indicated
- Provide airway and oxygen support (HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, nasal cannula) and non-invasive airway management; tracheostomy care; oral suctioning
- Obtain and manage vascular access (IV starts; peripheral/PICC/central line care); administer fluids and blood products; perform phlebotomy
- Care for lines and drains (chest tubes, surgical drains); wound care and wound VAC as indicated
- Deliver specialty med-surg care (feeding tube management; CBI; dialysis pre/post; ABG interpretation; PCA; rapid response/code involvement)
- Document thoroughly in Epic; collaborate with IV teams, PT, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Social Services, Radiology, Transportation, Interpretation services
- Float to units as needed, provided competencies are met

Requirements
- Current RN license in Idaho or a Compact license in-hand at time of submittal
- BLS certification required
- Epic charting experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience preferred; travel experience required
- Trauma experience (Level II) preferred
- Ability to work in an inpatient adult/geriatric med-surg/telemetry setting; able to work nights; competency to function in a high-acuity unit
