Computed Tomography Technologist - Travel Job

Become a vital part of a hospital team in Downers Grove, IL as an experienced Computed Tomography Technologist. You will accurately follow physician scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, and operate CT equipment to provide diagnostic imaging for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients. You will perform routine CT procedures and portable exams, work independently and with ancillary staff, and support high-acuity services at a Level 1 trauma center with a Level III NICU and stroke services.

Minimum Qualifications:

• ARRT (CT) certification required.
• Graduate of an accredited CT program.
• BLS certification required.
• IEMA certification required.
• Competent in routine CT procedures including chest, abdomen/pelvis, pulmonary embolism protocols, brain and head imaging.
• Experience performing portable CT exams in ED and inpatient units.
• Experience working in a hospital setting with inpatient, outpatient, and ED patient types.
• Familiarity with GE CT systems (Revolution, HD750, LightSpeed) preferred.
• EPIC experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with another CT technologist and ancillary support.

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent experience with volumes of approximately 10–12 exams per 8-hour shift.
• Previous experience at a level 1 trauma center, primary stroke center, or similarly accredited facility preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1100–1930.
• Standard hours per week: 40.
• Patient ratio typically 1:1.
• Orientation: general orientation plus 24–40 hour unit orientation.
• Holiday expectations vary; time-off approval through Lead CT Technologist and Manager.
• Department scrub color: Caribbean Blue preferred; professional attire acceptable.
