TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Orangeburg, South Carolina, 29118!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred License: Must hold a valid nursing license Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Telemetry competency required, previous charge experience preferred, community hospital experience preferred Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical and Telemetry. The shift required is nights of 12-hour duration. The nurse will care for a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6. Every other weekend is required. Travelers may need to float within the scope to meet facility needs. First-time travelers are accepted. Licensure requirements include a valid nursing license either in South Carolina or a Compact License. Certifications needed include BLS and ACLS; NIHSS certification is preferred. The nursing staff is expected to manage cardiac telemetry and related tasks. Community hospital experience is highly valued. The facility operates with a patient population primarily consisting of adults and geriatrics. The daily census is approximately 36 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, and Pharmacy. All applicants should be aware that responsibilities during hurricane season might include assignment to emergency response teams. It is necessary to account for any pertinent time off requests prior to submission. All compliance matters should be resolved before the proposed start date. Please note that travelers must not have planned time off that will hinder pre-start compliance completion. Local candidates will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The facility prioritizes non-local candidates. The preferred candidate should be able to effectively perform telemetry monitoring procedures. Prior clinical experience in a Medical Surgical and Telemetry unit is beneficial for this role.
