Position Overview Management Systems International (MSI), a Tetra Tech Company, is hiring a Mechanical Engineer in Bangkok, Thailand for the construction of the New U.S. Embassy Office Annex and Embassy Upgrade with State Department Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO). A U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance is required. This is an active position with the team already on the ground. Project Highlights $400M Design/Build New Office Annex (NOX) and Embassy Upgrade New 14‑story Office Annex (NOX) – tiered glass volumes covered in slats to mitigate Bangkok’s hot and humid climate while maintaining views of the landscape. 39‑bed Marine Security Guard Residence (MSGR) Consular and Pedestrian (CACs) 2‑story Utility Building and 365‑vehicle surface parking Upgrades and site improvements including: CACs (main and service), new glazing, new doors, interior finishing, internal perimeter walls, and landscaping. Minimum commitment of 1 year; project expected to last 24‑36 months. Housing and transportation allowances provided. Uplift includes 10% of base salary plus 10% COLA. Position Description Provide NEC project support with full range of critical engineering, construction quality assurance, and technical oversight. Perform technical inspections of mechanical work, monitor construction contractor’s quality control program, and review project drawings to ensure compliance. Observe onsite construction to determine if construction elements are being installed, formed, and executed properly. Monitor construction progress with regard to project schedule and submit weekly progress reports with recommendations based on technical review of project documents and field inspections. Requirements U.S. Government Secret Clearance or higher. U.S. bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or current U.S. PE license (or PE license can substitute for degree). 7 years of construction experience.
