Director, Business Operations

Primary Responsibility: Product Lifecycle Acceleration & Transformation

Role Summary

The Director, Business Operations will lead enterprise-wide efforts to accelerate the movement from idea to customer value by identifying, understanding, and eliminating bottlenecks across the product and operational lifecycle.

This role will work across business units and functional teams to analyze complex processes, understand underlying risks and controls, challenge assumptions, and help design more effective ways of working. The focus is not limited to software development, but spans the full lifecycle including product strategy, security, infrastructure, compliance, deployment, service delivery, customer adoption, and operational execution.

The ideal candidate combines systems thinking, organizational influence, intellectual curiosity, and a relentless drive for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze bottlenecks that slow the movement from concept, feature development, and operational initiatives to customer value.
• Break complex business and operational processes into their component parts, understanding the purpose, risks, controls, dependencies, and outcomes associated with each step.
• Partner with leaders across business units to identify opportunities for simplification, automation, AI enablement, and workflow transformation.
• Establish accountability structures and operating rhythms that drive measurable progress over time.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on improving cycle time, reducing friction, and improving organizational effectiveness.
• Facilitate best-practice sharing across business units and functions to accelerate adoption of successful transformation patterns.
• Develop deep subject matter understanding across multiple domains including product development, security, compliance, infrastructure, deployment, support, and customer operations.
• Navigate organizational resistance, build trust with stakeholders, and influence change across teams that may have competing priorities.
• Escalate barriers and unresolved issues when necessary to maintain momentum and accountability.
• Partner closely with executive leadership to identify strategic transformation opportunities and track organizational progress.

Experience & Qualifications

Required

• Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional transformation initiatives.
• Strong analytical and systems-thinking capabilities.
• Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar domains, processes, and organizational structures.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Proven ability to drive accountability and execution without direct authority.
• Experience working across multiple teams, functions, or business units.
• High degree of personal ownership, initiative, and independence.

Preferred

• Experience with operational excellence, business transformation, consulting, process improvement, audit, compliance, organizational change, or large-scale business integrations.
• Experience applying AI, automation, or digital transformation techniques to business workflows.
• Healthcare technology, software, or regulated-industry experience.
• Familiarity with product development, infrastructure, security, compliance, or customer delivery functions.

Salary range : $90,000–$150,000. The salary range reflects the anticipated base salary for this position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education.
