Purchasing ManagerThe Tredyffrin/Easttown School District is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced professional to serve as Purchasing Manager. The Purchasing Manager coordinates purchasing functions for all schools and departments throughout the District and works closely with the Business Office to ensure that District resources are procured efficiently, competitively, and in accordance with applicable laws, Board policies, and District procedures.Qualifications· Bachelor's degree preferred, business related major recommended.· Working knowledge of school law, District policies, and procedures related to purchasing and procurement.· Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in a related field, including experience with accounting and written communications.· Ability to work independently in a task-oriented, detail-focused, and goal-driven environment.· Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with District employees, vendors, and the public.· Demonstrated professionalism, initiative, sound judgment, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Purchasing Manager will:· Coordinate purchasing and procurement activities for District schools and departments.· Provide guidance regarding purchasing procedures and ensure compliance with applicable laws, Board policies, and District procedures.· Develop and maintain reliable and competitive sources for supplies, materials, equipment, and services.· Coordinate competitive bidding, informal quotations, state contracts, cooperative purchasing arrangements, and other authorized procurement methods.· Prepare bid specifications, requests for quotations, legal advertisements, bid analyses, and recommendations for contract awards.· Communicate and work with vendors regarding pricing, purchase orders, contracts, deliveries, back orders, discrepancies, and other procurement matters.· Review purchase requisitions and purchase orders for accuracy, appropriate budget account coding, pricing, and compliance with bidding and procurement requirements.· Monitor market conditions, pricing trends, sources of supply, and new product developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved purchasing practices.· Maintain vendor information and required documentation, including W-9 forms and bid mailing lists.· Coordinate emergency purchases and assist departments in identifying appropriate sources of supply.· Monitor service agreement renewals and other purchasing-related Business Office functions.· Work closely with Accounting, including Accounts Payable and vendor records.· Assist District departments in developing specifications and standardizing materials and supplies when appropriate.· Coordinate the disposal of surplus, obsolete, and scrap District property through approved procedures.· Perform other duties as assigned by the Business Manager.Terms of Employment12-month position5 days per week / 8 hours per daySalary and benefits will be established in accordance with the contractual agreement approved by the Board of School Directors.Interested candidates should submit an online application, résumé, cover letter, and other requested supporting materials through the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District employment application system.Tredyffrin/Easttown School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
