Senior Analyst – Global Corporate Development Location: NewYork (Hybrid) – 2 days in office with the team, additional days optional, and travel when required (less than 20%). About the Role The Global Corporate Development (GCD) team reports directly to the CEO and seeks highly driven analysts to own meaningful components of the end‑to‑end M&A process. The role focuses on high‑growth software, AI/SaaS, and technology‑enabled solutions assets. RESPONSIBILITIES Pipeline Management: Process deal opportunities, maintain DealCloud CRM, and draft initial perspectives. Financial Modelling & Valuation: Build and maintain corporate M&A models, deal comparables, trading comparables, and ad‑hoc analyses tailored to software and SaaS businesses. Operating Model Development: Create flexible driver‑based operational models for business cases and scenario analysis. Executive Presentation Preparation: Prepare concise, impactful materials for investment committee and board‑level review. Project Management: Track deal timelines, open items, and cross‑functional workstream deliverables across full‑cycle software and tech transactions. Due Diligence Coordination: Support cross‑functional diligence teams (product, strategy, legal, finance, tax, HR) and external advisors. Advisor & Counterparty Engagement: Engage with targets, banks, PE funds, and transaction advisors. Divestiture Support: Assist carve‑out preparation and self‑due diligence. Transaction Administration: Process NDAs with legal and prepare offer letters. QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS Experience: 2–5 years in investment banking, private equity, or corporate development with end‑to‑end M&A transaction experience. Education: Bachelor’s in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent; MBA preferred. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with software, SaaS, AI, and technology‑enabled service business models and key operating metrics (ARR, net retention, churn, LTV/CAC, cloud/on‑prem mix). Financial Modeling: Advanced competency in Excel and PowerPoint, with significant model authoring experience. Financial Analysis: Solid understanding of financial statements. AI Fluency (Preferred): Hands‑on experience building and automating M&A‑related workflows using ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar platforms. Executive Presence: Comfortable engaging with C‑suite and senior leadership. Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills; able to synthesize complex information into concise executive materials. Organization & Project Management: Preference for structure, standardization, and the ability to manage compressed timelines. Intellectual Curiosity: Genuine interest in diverse businesses, emerging industries, and applied AI. Technical Skills: Proficient using financial research platforms (e.g., CapitalIQ, PitchBook) and managing data rooms. Compensation Salary range: $102,600.00 – $179,250.00USD (eligible for bonus).
