Qualifications 0–2 years of experience High school diploma or GED Ability to understand construction plans, specifications and procedures. Basic math skills, including geometry and trigonometry. Fluent reading, writing and communication. Effective teamwork and ability to complete daily reports by hand and computer. Valid driver’s license. Ability to pass and maintain required certifications. Pre‑employment drug screening is required; background and motor vehicle checks may be required depending on position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work independently on less complex construction activities and assist experienced inspectors on complex assignments on active roadway and bridge construction projects. Prepare detailed and timely reports documenting construction progress, inspection, and testing results. Record and report daily forms per project requirements; review all work for completeness and accuracy prior to submission. Maintain necessary records, measure field quantities, and conduct field tests to ensure contractor compliance with contract specifications. Submit accurate timesheets, mileage and expense reports on time each week. Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, staff and supervisors. Resolve problems at the lowest level. Perform field construction inspection and documentation services on various commercial, municipal, institutional, and/or heavy highway and bridge projects. Review job site safety daily and take immediate action to document and resolve safety issues. Understand and adhere to OSHA safety standards and corporate policies. Ensure compliance with all applicable industry standards and client requirements.
