Together, we're improving health and improving lives.Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team in Holyoke MA.Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 pm – 3:30 am, and rotating Weekends and HolidaysJob Responsibilities:Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testingUnpack and route specimens to their respective staging areasAccurately identify and label specimensPack and ship specimens to proper testing facilitiesMeet department activity and production goalsProperly prepare and store excess specimen samplesData entry of patient information in an accurate and timely mannerResolve and document any problem specimensMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentPreferred Qualifications:1 or more years relative experience (lab/accessioning, production/manufacturing/warehouse environment)1 or more years Medical or production experienceCurrent or previous LabCorp experienceAdditional Job Standards:Comfortable handling biological specimensAbility to accurately identify specimensExperience working in a team environmentStrong data entry and organizational skillsHigh level of attention to detailProficient in MS OfficeAbility to lift up to 40lbs.Able to pass a standardized color blindness testAre you organized, accountable, and have always gone the extra mile to make sure things are done right? The Specimen Accessioner will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.**Pay Range: $17.75 - $19.00 per hourAll job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market dataBenefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
