Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse position is located in Washington, District of Columbia. This role involves working in a fast-paced trauma environment, providing critical care to diverse patient populations including urgent care, psychiatric, pediatric, and trauma patients. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Washington, District of Columbia

  • Hours per Day: 12 hours
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
  • Required Qualifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district, ER experience of at least 3 years, graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program. BSN degree is highly desired. Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system experience is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level experience, teaching hospital experience, Epic EMR experience (not recent is acceptable).
  • Additional Information: Must live at least 50 miles away from the facility; must be willing/able to work in the trauma room as the bedside trauma RN; willing to take 1:5 patient ratios; familiarity with NIHS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are required; candidates must be flexible to work the specified schedule.
