About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President and Dean for Intercultural Engagement to play a pivotal role in the design and implementation of student development initiatives, with a strong focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. The successful candidate will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining an inclusive campus culture, providing expertise in belonging initiatives, and overseeing a team that supports intercultural and interfaith programming. This leadership position requires a deep commitment to equity and belonging, exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to navigate complex institutional environments with political acumen and emotional intelligence. The AVP/Dean will also be tasked with supervising staff, representing the division in various settings, and supporting student retention strategies for marginalized populations. Applicants for the AVP/Dean role at the company should hold a master's degree and have at least five years of experience in student affairs or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of advancing initiatives that foster belonging and student success, particularly for historically marginalized communities. Key qualifications include strong administrative and operational expertise, the ability to operate effectively within shared governance, and a strategic, systems-oriented approach to leadership. The role demands a leader who is both strategic and execution-oriented, capable of managing competing priorities, and committed to continuous improvement. The AVP/Dean will be expected to lead through change, rebuild trust, and strengthen the culture of the organization over time.
