Job Description Job Description Join Our Team: Field Heavy Equipment Technician As a Field Heavy Equipment Technician at Quinn Caterpillar, you will diagnose, service, maintain, and repair Caterpillar® heavy equipment and other machinery used across construction, industrial, and rental operations. Technicians at Quinn work with advanced tools and diagnostic systems to keep machines operating safely, efficiently, and at peak productivity. About the Role As a Field Heavy Equipment Technician, you will travel to customer job sites to diagnose, service, maintain, and repair heavy equipment and machinery. You will work independently from a fully equipped service truck, applying your mechanical expertise to ensure equipment uptime and customer satisfaction. Position: Field Heavy Equipment Technician Work Location: Oxnard, CA Pay: $33.80 – $57.50 per hour, depending on experience and education Key Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on Caterpillar® and related equipment Use specialized tools and diagnostic software to complete high-quality repairs Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize equipment downtime Maintain accurate service records, repair orders, and inspection documentation Communicate professionally with customers and internal service teams regarding repairs and equipment status Follow all safety protocols and company procedures at every job site Continuously develop technical skills through training and hands-on experience Deliver exceptional customer service while resolving mechanical issues in the field Utilize diagnostic tools such as Cat Electronic Technician (ET) and other testing equipment Company Description Our history began in 1919 when Quinn Company supplied the Killifer Disc and Holt Tractor to the Fresno area farmers in their quest to develop the great San Joaquin Valley into the worlds richest agricultural region.
