Job DetailsJob Location: PMC-Hampton Roads AC Kroc Community Center - NORFOLK, VA 23502 Salary Range: $13.00 - $13.50 Hourly Job Category: Recreation Schedule/Hours: Part-time, flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. This position is responsible for: The Lifeguard ensures safe aquatic operations by observing swimmers, protecting life, preventing accidents, and enforcing facility regulations under the direction of the Lead Lifeguard. Key Responsibilities: Observe swimmers and respond quickly to emergencies. Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe, clean pool environment. Report equipment defects, facility issues, and safety concerns. Maintain professional attitude and attend required staff meetings. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must have the ability to swim with proficiency and endurance. Ability to tread water while holding a brick for 5 minutes. Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Work involves exposure to pool chemicals, temperature changes, noise, and humidity. Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
